All Federal Lawsuits Transferred to Minnesota

March 5th, 2008 · No Comments

The Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation ordered all suits filed in federal courts againt Medtronic to be transferred to the Minnesota district courts.

The suits that are most commonly transferred to Minnesota are cases against the company concerning the recall and defectiveness of the Medtronic Sprint Fidelis leads commonly used in their implantable defibrillators.

The defect in the leads was related to broken leads occurring more often than originally anticipated. When the leads are broken, they can deliver an unnecessary shock to the patient which is quite painfaul. The other option is that when a shock is needed to correct the heart’s rhythm, there will not be one delivered.

If you have been hurt or injured by a defective Sprint Fidelis lead, contact the Medtronic lawsuit lawyers of Williams Kherkher at 1-866-950-9000 to discuss your case and to determine your legal options.
